Social Support Volunteers

Are you passionate about improving the well-being and independence of individuals and want to contribute to your community? Opportunity to assist those over 65 living in their own homes to access and participate in the Hawkesbury community. Volunteers provide social support through either a social home visit, assistance with daily tasks (shopping, banking etc.), or companionship whilst clients are on outings.

Volunteers will meet with their clients 2 hours each week, fortnight, or month.

Full training is provided.

Volunteers are reimbursed out of pocket expenses.

No personal care or domestic assistance involved.


  • National Police Check
  • Drivers License (C Class)
  • Comprehensive vehicle insurance (for those volunteers transporting clients)
  • Enjoy working with older people
  • Reliable
